Iasi is the most important economic, political and cultural centre of
Moldova region and one of the oldest cities in Romania. Situated in the North-East of
Romania, near the border with Moldova Republic

city (over 350,000 people).
Iasi County is the second largest county in Romania according to the
population (over 850,000 people), representing 3.5% of Romania's population.
There are 4 main cities in Iasi County(Iasi, Pascani, Targu Frumos, Harlau)
with a total of 435,000 inhabitants (51% of county's total population). The rest dwell in
